Brownie Batter And Cream Donuts

These vegan double chocolate donuts are truly a chocolate lovers' dream come true. These baked donuts will satisfy your sweet tooth for sure. Plus, they are super easy to make and are not deep-fried so you will not feel too guilty.

Makes 6 Donuts


3/4 cup all purpose flour (can use gf flour as well)

1/4 cup cocoa powder 

1/2 cup non dairy milk

1 tbsp flax meal 

1/2 tsp baking powder 

1/4 tsp baking soda

1/2 cup sugar 

3 tbsp melted vegan butter (can also use coconut oil)

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

3/4 cup powder sugar

1/4 tsp vanilla extract 

2 tbsp nondairy milk 

3 tbsp melted vegan butter (or coconut oil

5 tbsp cocoa powder 

3 tbsp agave or maple syrup 

1/4 tsp vanilla extract 


Preheat oven on 375 F

Oil donut pan with coconut oil or vegan butter 

Place flax meal in a small bowl w/ 2.5 tbsp water. Let set to form “egg like” consistency 

Place dry ingredient in a large bowl (flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda) and mix well

Add wet ingredients (melted vegan butter, non dairy milk and vanilla extract) and mix to form dough. 

Place dough into a piping bag or a large ziploc bag and cut end of ziploc bag.

Place dough into each doughnut holes

Place doughnut tin in the oven and bake for 17-20 min. (If using silicone pan, place pan on a baking sheet before placing in the oven)

While donuts are baking, make the chocolate and vanilla glazes.

To make the vanilla glaze, mix powdered sugar, nondairy milk and vanilla extract together in a bowl. 

For the chocolate glaze, mix the melted butter, cocoa powder, agave and vanilla extract in a bowl. 

Take out of the oven and let to cool for 5-7 minutes before removing from the pan. 

Once cool, remove from pan and place on a rack or plate. 

Crumble one donut up with the fingers to use as a the “brownie bites” topping for the remaining donuts. 

Dip each donut into the chocolate glaze. Then top with the “brownie bites”. Then use a spoon to drizzle on the vanilla glaze. 

Repeat until all donuts are finished
